Andorra La Vella

Presenting a nifty selection of books, art and design products, our Shop Of The Month February, is located in the centre of Andorra La Vella, in a historic industrial building from the 1940ies.

What is the idea of the BauStore?

BauStore is the abbreviated trademark derived from La Bauhaus Concept Store. Located in the centre of Andorra La Vella,  the store comprises three floors, divided and organized in different areas and sections:

La Bauhaus design, is a radical specialized trade, offering a wide selection of items and home accessories from around the world: Design objects, special books, stationery, advanced music, movies and auteur cinema, electronics, HiFi, photography and multimedia and personal accessories.

With a democratic ideal of contemporary design at affordable prices, La Bauhaus Home covers all aspects of home culture. This space offers a thorough selection of furniture, lamps, kitchens, bathrooms and accessories for decoration. La Bauhaus Collectors is a space specialized in products for collectors. From the modest beginnings, with a showcase in a video shop, and completely alien to the business sector of the group, it has earned the title of "Geek Sanctuary" for excellence in Andorra.

What is the history and inspiration behind La Bauhaus?

Inspired by the Bauhaus movement arose the idea of creating an open space to modernity in Andorra. Today La Bauhaus Group has established itself as an international benchmark in the field of design, furniture, collectibles, decoration and gifts, for it, has a major commercial and service infrastructure shared between shops, showrooms, offices and warehouses, managed by a professional team, organized by department and specialization.

Which is your favorite Gestalten book?

As official Vitra dealers and collectors of many of the most representative pieces of Charles and Ray Eames, our favourite book is undoubtedly The Story of Eames Furniture.

And which are your customers favorite Gestalten books?

Our shop is frequented by many customers related to the culture of graphic design, art and design.
This group especially appreciates Illusive and Boxed and Labelled, but the bestsellers are the books of the Los Logos series.
