Litter at Nature
Gorbelegi is an art project founded by Axi Olano. The name is a cross over from the ‘Gorbeia’ National Park and the main local dump, spillway ‘Gardelegi’ in Victoria, Basque.
Olano picks up all kinds of litter from the forest and riverside, brings them home and photographs them or scans them into his computer. The irony of the project is that Olano’s captures the beauty of the garbage in his imagery and tries to reveal its beauty to trigger people into seeing some “beauty in the garbage�. Then perhaps, “they'll take it home."
