Art Basel Miami Beach and Design Miami 2006Over the years, Miami Beach has earned its place as one of the most important market places for cutting-edge art and creativity. Art Basel Miami Beach and Design Miami will be taking place this year between December 6th and 10th and dgv would like to invite you to some events happening during the week with authors FriendsWithYou and Sebastien Agneessens.
SKYWALKERS
Thursday 7th December, 2 – 5 PM
Giant blimps will be flying across the skies of Miami Beach! SKYWALKERS is curated by FriendsWithYou, starring the Friends themselves as well as Ara Peterson, PaperRad, Devilrobots, Mumbleboy, David Choe and Misaki Kawai. The giant blimp parade will start at 17th Street on the beach and end on 5th Street. Join the Friends for this special procession and cosmic festivity.
FriendsWithYou Have Powers! Book Presentation and Signing at Genius Jones
Saturday 9th December, 6 – 8 PM
dgv has published the very first monograph from the Miami-based design and art collective FriendsWithYou! Genius Jones will be hosting a special window display by FriendsWithYou and book signing event at their store located in the heart of the Design District (1661 Michigan Ave. at Lincoln Road, Miami Beach), which is part of the Design District Block Party.
Remastered Book Launch Event

dgv cordially invites you to the launch of Remastered at the 460 Degrees Gallery. Curator Sebastien Agneessens has commissioned a new generation of fifty-five international artists and designers to “remaster� iconic masterpieces by masters from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance through to the 20th century. From “Guernica� by Pablo Picasso and “Gabrielle d’Estree and her Sister� by Ecole de Fontainbleau to “The Kiss� by Gustav Klimt. The transformations are done by renowned contemporary artists and designers including Kenzo Minami, Vincent Skeltis, Mika Machida, Antoine et Manuel and more. Join us for this special event to see a special video presentation of Remastered and listen to top shelf music by guest DJ, A Touch of Class!
