Third Drawer Down Gallery, MelbourneYou are invited to the opening of “Another Reputation Ruined� by James Gallagher at the Third Drawer Down Gallery, Melbourne on Saturday, May 5, 2007 from 2 – 4 PM.
James Gallagher will be showing new works on paper using collage to investigate human form and personal identity. Piecing together images cut from found material, old books, magazines and the occasional sex manual, Gallagher creates figures that reach out to touch each other or stand in sullen stillness. Imagery in his work is featureless allowing the viewer to project their own meaning into his scenes.
